Customer Security Information
During our routine security audit it was detected that an e-mail has been sent “spoofing” an e-mail address of the bank. If you receive notification of an e-mail from “support@obannonbank.com", please be aware that O’Bannon Bank does not have a support address by this name.

The e-mail does contain an attachment that may have a virus payload. Should you open this e-mail you will want to make sure your anti-virus software is updated and running on your machine.

As with any e-mail, beware of opening attachments unless you are expecting a file or attachment from a specific individual. If you need additional information don’t hesitate to contact me.

2006 SHAZAM PHISHING ATTACK
August 23, 2005

Dear O’Bannon Bank Customer;

We have become aware of a new “phishing attack” where an e-mail message appears to be from “Shazam Online Banking Support, N.A.”. Shazam is the network that the bank uses to process ATM and point of sale transactions. Shazam will never ask cardholders for personal identity data or financial account information via e-mail.
A phishing attack occurs when fraudsters send e-mail messages to cardholders asking them to respond with personal identity data and financial account information. They ask the cardholder to respond by clicking a link in the e-mail and providing personal identity information such as Social Security number, address, phone, e-mail information, or mother’s maiden name. They may also ask for financial account credentials such as PIN’s, or account numbers, anything to validate the card information.
DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS TYPE MESSAGE. If you do receive such e-mail, please alert us immediately. If you have any questions please contact me at 417-345-2251.

Sincerely,

Sherry Claspill
